The Externship is an 8-week virtual, asynchronous program offering you a chance to learn the art and craft of financial planning while seeing inside real client meetings. You’ll dive into the foundations of financial planning, learn from 50+ experts, and get access to eMoney, Morningstar, Redtail, EncorEstates, and Asset-Map.
Plus, Externship Finishers can earn 500 CFP Board standard pathway hours and 180 AFCPE® experience hours.
Students from over 200 colleges and universities participate in The Externship each summer.
The LIVE program runs from the first week of June to the end of July every summer, and Externs have the month of August to complete all required coursework if they want to:
EARN INTERNSHIP CREDIT
Use The Externship to fulfill internship or experiential learning requirements — we provide a syllabus with details on what students learn, as well as support for internship approval and reporting.
EARN 500 CFP BOARD HOURS
