This third meeting with Tron and Miranda is a deep dive into the technical side of student loan analysis! You’ll see Nev Kraguljevic, CSLP, conduct a working session focused on data gathering and presenting comprehensive student loan projections. With Hannah Moore, CFP®, unavailable for this meeting, you’ll observe how team members can effectively manage client relationships and deliver complex technical information independently.
You’ll learn how to source loan data from tax documents, explain the differences between forbearance types, and present multiple repayment scenarios using detailed spreadsheets. This meeting showcases how a two-week difference in loan disbursement dates can create entirely different plan eligibility for two clients with nearly identical loan balances. You’ll also see how to handle sensitive discoveries like delinquent loans with professionalism while pivoting immediately to actionable solutions. The commentary highlights FPA behavioral competencies, including non-judgmental data gathering, assumption verification, and empowering clients to make their own budget decisions.
Course learning objectives:
- Understand how to source and verify student loan data using client-provided tax documents
- Analyze individual IDR plan eligibility based on loan disbursement timing and regulatory cutoff dates
