From prioritizing debt payoff and family vacations to exploring late-stage college funding through College Aid Pro, Hannah models how planners can lead clients through complex decisions by co-creating strategies rooted in values and open communication.

Course learning objectives:

  • Identify client cash flow priorities by facilitating open-ended conversations and gathering context.
  • Evaluate the implications of Parent PLUS loans on financial planning and debt strategy. (E.40, B.10)
  • Interpret client values and emotional responses to inform recommendations on cash and education planning.
  • Apply late-stage college planning tools, such as College Aid Pro, to assess college funding scenarios.
  • Assess the range of client perspectives on higher education contributions and how these impact financial goals.

This course has been accepted by the CFP Board and 1 CFP Board CE hours may be earned. Additionally, students who complete this (Keith and Beth 5) course can submit their experience hours and proof of completion to the CFP Board for 50 standard pathway experience hours and 25 AFC experience hours.
